Help Wanted: The National Glass Centre in Sunderland, England, seeks Head of Arts

Overseeing the residencies and master classes at the National Glass Centre, the Head of Arts will work closely with the director as part of a senior staff group charged with developing the strategic development of the facility’s arts, learning, and engagement programs. According to an official posting about the position from NGC director James Bustard, the chosen candidate will be responsible for “initiating, developing and delivering an outstanding program of displays, exhibitions, publications, master classes, and residencies aimed at transforming the public’s and students enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of contemporary glass.”With an annual salary between £36,355.00 and £45,337.00 (US $ 57,330 – $ 71,414), the position requires a proven track record within the visual arts, experience working in a curatorial capacity in the visual arts, experience managing projects and exhibitions, and excellent administrative skills. Successful fund-raising experience is also a quality being sought.
