Entries to the Toyama International Glass Exhibition 2027 are now open to artists around the globe.
The exhibition is a triennial event held by the Toyama Glass Art Museum in Toyama, Japan. Since it was launched in2108, there have been three international exhibiitons.
For the most recent edition in 2024, 785 works were submitted from 50 countries and regions worldwide.
Entries are considered by a six-judge jury, which looks for work with potential to open new horizons in the field.
The jury for this edition includes Tami Landis, Corning curator of postwar and contemporary glass; Uta Klotz, editor of Neus Glass; Aimee Frodsham, director of Canberra Glassworks; Cho Hyeyoung, indepednent curator; Meruro Washida, director of the 21st Century Museum in Kanazawa, Japan; and Ruriko Tsuchida, director of the Toyama Glass Art Museum.
The application period for submissions is Wednesday, July 1, to Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

There are two judging periods for submitted work, by a panel of six judges from around the world. Four prizes, with cash reward, are awarded to select participants in the exhibition. Winners of the grand and gold prize are required to donate the winning piece to the museum. The exhibition will be held at the Toyama Glass Art Museum from Saturday, July 10 - Monday, October 11, 2027.
