A community art center in the middle of coastal Connecticut is hosting an exhibition of contemporary explorations in glass juried by Amy Schwartz, director of The Studio at Corning. The Guilford Art Center in Guilford, Connecticut, will host the event from March 13 through April 5, 2020; and seeks submissions by artists who work in glass to create functional and non-functional works.
The deadline for submission is January 27, 2020, and artists are encouraged to send in up to three images of works made within the past two years. Note that there is an entry fee of $30. Also, artists must arrange shipping to and from the exhibition, and list whether the work will be for sale during the exhibition. There will be $300 in prizes that will be awarded by the show's juror, Schwartz.
At The Studio at Corning, which Schwartz founded with her husband William Gudenrath, she has launched residencies and organized educational workshops.
