Richard Whiteley | Events, Exhibitions, Symposium, Talks

A free, one-day seminar exploring methods and approaches to cast glass with internationally-renowned artist and educator Richard Whiteley, who will outline and share some of his extensive knowledge on kiln casting and cold working. Cast glass is a complex, layered and considered process that often unfolds over long periods of time. This seminar is an opportunity to gain detailed insight into processes of mould making, firing, annealing and cold working for kiln formed glass; a series of presentations will address each of the areas associated with kiln cast glass, outlining relevant methods. This will be followed by a question and answer session for exploring and troubleshooting of issues that participants have experienced when working in cast or kiln formed glass processes.
