Light(bulb): Idea Generator

January 14th - January 18th
Jay Macdonell |

How do you navigate the lighting industry, source parts and come up with designs? Join Jay Macdonell, Manager of Material Explorations for Bocci, an innovative design and architecture firm based out of Vancouver and Berlin for a week of questions. Student ideas will become class demonstrations. Problem solving and integration of hardware and material will be explored. We will find the answers together, or at the very least come up with better questions. This class will focus on glassblowing techniques in the hotshop and finishing methods with cold working and lighting parts.
