Glassblowing 101: The Fun Starts Here!

January 14th - February 18th
Annie Shepherd |

In this exciting six week course, we will explore and build the foundation needed to create both solid and blown forms. We will start at square one with a heavy focus on developing good habits, awareness, hand skills, and of course: having fun! Class time will consist of demonstrations, drills, and plenty of one-on-one attention. As skill building progresses, so will our projects. Starting with solid forms, we will quickly move on to blowing hollow forms, while exploring a few of the process used to finish pieces in the coldshop. We will conclude the course with students designing their own unique projects. Students are sure to walk away from this class with a completely new understanding of the material, an array of beautiful objects, and totally hooked on glass! This course is best suited for the ultimate beginner student.
