Devil in the Details: Problem Solving for Moldmakers

November 18th - December 3rd
Cooper O'Brien |

Mold making for glass can be frustrating, but only if you gloss over the minutiae. Learn some of the finer points of mold construction for both fused and hot casting that will extend your skill set. Rather than a series of limitations, we will approach the process as a refinement of control and an opportunity to expand our visual language through the versatility of the materials. To that end, we will cover some tricks of the trade used to form the environment to which the glass is introduced. Demonstrations will focus on prepping wax positives for investment and hand building molds effectively.

This class runs on 2 weekends. Class dates: November 18 & 19 and December 2 & 3. 10:00am-5:00pm on all dates.
