Russell Carson began blowing glass in 2002, working for a number of small studios in CT, NY and MA. In 2005, he moved to the island of Martha’s Vineyard to work at Martha’s Vineyard Glassworks as a junior assistant. There he met Davide Fuin, world renowned goblet maker and friend of the studio. Russell went on to TA for Davide during his workshops at The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass and at NOCA Glass School in Cambridge, MA. That eventually led to teaching with Davide during his summer courses on Murano, Italy. Russell has taught weekend workshops at NOCA Glass School and MIT, and has been instructing a week long goblet intensive for the last five years at the Glass Spot in Richmond, VA. Russell continues to work at Martha's Vineyard Glassworks and is now the studio’s Lead Glassblower.
