Jason McDonald

Instructor

Jason McDonald is a glass artist living in Philadelphia, PA. Jason was introduced to furnace glassblowing at the age of 14 through the Hilltop Artists program in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. He owes this program greatly for exposing him to glass, a material that has held his attention ever since. Jason has spent the majority of his glass career focusing on traditional Venetian furnace techniques including goblet and pattern making. He is currently pursuing an MFA degree at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia. His ambitions include building a home studio where he can play at the furnace all day with an impractically large garden just outside the door.
