James Blake

Instructor

First Introduced to Glass in 2009, James Blake was the Flat-shop instructor for 8 years at the Non-Profit studio GlassRoots, located in Newark ,NJ. He uses an interdisciplinary approach with ceramics, glass, and metals to create his own work focused mostly on the interaction between form and function. James has worked and studied with many craft organizations including Peters Valley School of Craft, Pilchuck Glass School, Pittsburgh Glass center, Penland School of Craft. James now working mainly out of his home studio in West Orange, NJ
