Conor McClellan

Instructor

Being born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Conor McClellan had the studio glass scene blowing up all around him. Conor started blowing glass and cold working in 1998 under Jenifer Holmes, and then went on to become the cold worker at the Museum of Glass from their opening in 2002 to 2012. He is currently a production glass worker at Standard Glass and GlassyBaby in the Tacoma/Seattle area, and teaches at the Museum of Glass for the Hot Shop Heroes program, and the University of Washington Tacoma arts program. He has travelled the country doing hot and cold shop demos, having just recently finished as a teaching assistant for Jen Elek and Jeremy Bert's 8 week concentration at the Penland School of Crafts. Conor has also worked at the Pilchuck Glass School since 2000 in various capacities, including Cold Shop Coordinator and cold worker for the Pole Turner's Union.
