Carmen Lozar

Instructor

Carmen Lozar lives and works in Normal, Il. She has spent most of her artistic career working with glass at the flameworking torch. Her figurative narratives touch on the eccentricities of everyday life. She exhibits widely and is in the permanent collections of The Tacoma Museum of Glass, Museum of Art and Design in NY and the Bergstrom Mahler Museum, WI. Lozar enjoys teaching her craft and is faculty at Illinois Wesleyan University. She often spends summers sharing her knowledge at places such as Pilchuck Glass School, Ox Bow School of Craft, Corning Museum of Glass and Penland School of Craft.
