OPENING: Niki Hildebrand’s searching cast glass forms

Niki Hildebrand’s work entitled Your Unspoken Words are like the Empty Spaces Within Your Hands will be on view through December.

Opening this evening at a gallery in Wilmington, North Carolina, is an exhibition of the work of Niki Hildebrand, a painter, stained glass artist, and sculptor who holds an MFA from RISD (2001) and a BFA from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (1999). in We hope that you can make it and enjoy the opening. It will also be open 4th Fridays in November and December.
Dissections of emotional spaces expressed through the representation of the human form, these works start as excavations of emotions and feelings, a way to communicate interactions with others and within ourselves without words. They are both a search for identity and a rejection of boundaries. It is a continuous balance within each piece, confronting the physical and psychological of being human.
Hildebrand graduated from the London Institute, Chelsea College of Art and Design and then from the Rhode Island School of Design. Now currently associated with the Coastal Designer Glass Studios. Born in London, England, Hildebrand lived and worked in Belfast, Northern Ireland before coming to Wilmington, USA and has exhibited and sold works in England, Ireland, Sweden, New Zealand and the United States.
Engaged by the human condition the art work captures and highlights sensory parts of existence creating a play between solid visuals and defining the indefinable between communication and feelings.
