HELP WANTED: UrbanGlass seeks education coordinator

UrbanGlass, the Brooklyn, New York, non-profit art center that publishes the GLASS Quarterly Hot Sheet, is seeking a full-time education coordinator to be responsible for the day-to-day logistics of the various types of education programs. The successful applicant will work in close coordination with the director of education, the registrar, and the youth coordinator, and will be responsible for logistics for workshop, youth, and university programs at UrbanGlass.

Among the various duties of this position is the organization, procurement, and inventory of tools and materials for all classes. The education coordinator is the point person for instructor and intern communications, and is also responsible for managing the extensive payroll.

Another aspect of the job is the design and production of printed materials that promote the various programs, as well as photographing classes and events. The successful applicant will be expected to provide input on programming ideas and fill in for the director of education when he is out of the office. 

Applications are due by June 25, 2018, with a planned start date of August 15, 2018. 

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, and able to work a flexible work schedule that often includes both evening and weekend hours. Previous experience managing education programs or artist studios is helpful, as is extensive knowledge of glass techniques and materials.
