"Birds on a Wire," Nicole Puzan. Glass Plate. H 6in, W in.

Over $1,000 has been raised so far in a series of online auction fundraisers for Nicole Puzan, a 27-year-old glass artist and instructor at The Washington Glass School, who was diagnosed earlier this year with Stage IIIc ovarian cancer.

Currently Nicole is undergoing chemotherapy and is unable to work. In an effort to help support her medical and living expenses, her family has organized a second online virtual auction entitled “Art on a Wire,” running March 13th (her twenty-seventh birthday) until approximately March 23rd. The auction features Nicole’s own work as well as works donated by other artists, including sculpture, painting, drawing, glass, photography, ceramics and pottery, music, film, textiles, and other forms of media.

To find out more about Nicole’s story, keep updated on her progress, as well as make a donation, you can visit her new website.
