UrbanSparkle 2026

November 17th – January 10th, 2027

Opening Reception November 18th from 6-8PM.

UrbanSparkle is the annual UrbanGlass feature of jewelry utilizing glass, in tandem with NYC Jewelry Week. This year's selection brings together metal and glass techniques by highlighting four artists utilizing enamel in their wearable work.

Meghan Schmiedel’s jewelry is inspired by this coexistence of life and death within nature, and the fluidity of beauty and decay resulting from it. Danielle Embry creates contemporary jewelry and sculpture that abstracts the visual language of nature to present the viewer with an alternative perspective of the world we inhabit. Myriam Saavedra’s work is inspired by queer nightlife and how it subtly bleeds into a more minimalist daily aesthetic. Tanya Crane utilizes black and white enamel marks on the surface of copper to indicate the hand and tick marks to represent time passing, solidifying a time, a place, or a memory.
