UrbanSparkle is the annual exhibition of UrbanGlass's Store and Gallery featuring jewelers specifically working in the medium of glass. The artists in focus for the 2024 exhibition are DeVeor Rainey, Elaine Zukowki, Rachel Rader, and Xiaozhe Huang.
DeVeor is an alumni of the UrbanGlass Bead Project Program and combines her flame-worked beads with intricately knotted leather into bodily adornment that makes a true statement. Elaine Zukowki will be presenting new work for this year's exhibition but will stay true to her stunningly networked, beaded creations. Rachel Rader's vibrant, fused glass is the centerpiece of her wearable collections. Xiaozhe Huang is combining her metalsmithing skills with flameworking and all four of these artists visually exemplify different directions utilizing the medium of glass.
