Thrive/Survive

June 6th – July 8th, 2015

Jamie Grove's Thrive/Survive documents the artist's interventions into the city, counterposing delicate lily pads made of glass within the harsh environments around New York City. In her past work, Grove has installed her glass sculptures inspired by natural forms in sewer covers, in the cracks of subway tiles and growing in piles of trash around the city. In this installation, Grove explores the gallery as a juxtaposed environment to experience her work. Thrive/Survive is on view through July 12th.

This is the second in the UrbanGlass|ware Window Installations/ Community Activation series.
