Michael Stern: Imprinted Time

July 8th – August 28th, 2026
Exhibitions

Opening Reception July 8, from 6-8 PM.

Fatherhood is an experience of time travel. Moving forward and backward at once -- walking through time with your child as they move through the world while imagining how you once moved through it. Reaching into the past, excavating stored gestures you didn't know were there: the way you were held, the way time stretched and collapsed in the small rooms of childhood. It is not just witnessing a child grow; it is feeling time bend, layer, repeat.

Glass holds this same logic. It carries its past -- every heat, every touch, every stretch stays within its form. It is a record, a body full of movement. Imprinted Time invites the viewer into that compression -- object and person, past and present, held together in material that remembers.
