Exhibitions

Opening reception January 14, 2026 from 6-8 PM.

UrbanGlass is proud to present our biennial MFA exhibition, which features recent graduates from Masters programs who are working with glass. The title for this exhibition, The Scope, honors the breadth of techniques and inspirations within the material landscape of glass.

About the Artists:

Cooper O’Brien received his BFA in glass from RISD in 2012 and his MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. After apprenticing with Karen LaMonte in the Czech Republic for 3 years he was granted the Emerging Artist in Residency at Pilchuck Glass School. He currently lives and works in New Jersey, fabricating projects at the non-profit WheatonArts and mold making for Hank Murta Adams. O’Brien was raised in Doha, Qatar though originally from Baltimore. He creates work that weaves the technical challenge of glass making with the larger issue of creating something worth the effort.

Caitlin Waugh received her BFA from Hampshire College with an intersectional focus on sculpture and literary journalism. She received her MFA in glass sculpture from Tulane University in 2024. Concurrent with the graduate program, she was awarded a community-engaged Mellon Fellowship, which offered an opportunity to more fully integrate her studio practice with her social justice commitments.

John Dillard received his BFA in sculpture from Ringling College of Art and Design and his MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. He has participated in residencies at Penland School or Crafts, George Enescu University, Burren College of Art, and in the New York Studio Residency Program. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and Prive NYC.

Originally from Hong Kong, Kwun Lan Wong earned her BFA from Hong Kong Baptist University and her MFA in glass from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She has also studied at Pilchuck Glass School, Corning Museum of Glass, and UrbanGlass in addition to her teaching and assistantship experiences across the country. Receiving several awards and residency opportunities, she has exhibited and her work has been collected both nationally and internationally.

Silver Kim holds a BFA from Hongik University, where she studied metal art & design, woodworking & furniture design, and ceramic & glass followed by an MFA in Glass from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has received scholarships and awards from the Corning Museum of Glass, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass.
