Martin Janecky Studio Demonstration

Join us Friday, January 22nd at 7:30pm for a hot sculpting demonstration by visiting instructor Martin Janecky. 

Janecky’s figurative work is an accomplishment in the field of glass for its lifelike and technical excellence. He began his career with glass in a factory setting at the age of 13. While training at a school focused on glass blowing in Nový Bor in the Czech Republic, Martin began exploring sculpting methods. By age 20, he was employed by leading artists and designers around the world to assist and to execute specific works. Janecky has served as an instructor, visiting artist, and gaffer at several glassmaking schools, including The Studio, Penland School of Crafts, and Pilchuck Glass School. While at UrbanGlass, Janecky is teaching a 2 week intensive workshop. More information on that workshop can be found here.
