Donor Event: A Night Celebrating UrbanGlass’ Visiting Fellows

February 8th, 2020
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join UrbanGlass for a private event in our 17,000 square foot studios, featuring 2019 Visiting Artist Dean Erdmann as they recreate two life-sized ATV tires through the process of mold blowing in our professional hotshop. This spectacle of massive skill and proportion reflects that of Robert Rauschenberg’s famous glass tires made at UrbanGlass back in 1995.

This evening is in celebration of our Visiting Artist Fellowship Program, which provides artists of all disciplinary backgrounds the resources and time needed to embark on ambitious projects through glass. Past fellows who have completed exploratory works during their time at UrbanGlass include Monica Cook, Tauba Auerbach, Doug Johnston, Jarrod Beck, Martha Friedman, and Aki Sasamoto.

RSVP today to tanner@urbanglass.org.

This event is exclusively for supporters of UrbanGlass. If you would like to learn more about how you can support UrbanGlass, please contact rachel@urbanglass.org.

2019 UrbanGlass Visiting Artist Dean Erdmann is currently completing their 2018-2020 fellowship at the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at the New School. The Vera List Center is a research center and public forum for art, culture, and politics.
