"Making beautiful works is always important to me. I have been working on series of “parts”. I attempt to use the space as a part of my works as much as using my works as part of the space. I hope to create space with parts co existing. Everything co exists."

Michiko Sakano, was born and raised in the culturally rich city of Kanazawa on the West Coast of Japan. Her family has carried the tradition and business of Kimono making that dates back generations.
