Sean Baumbach

Instructor

Sean R. Baumbach: Born and raised in upstate New York. I’ve always been a student. I’ve always been curious and creative. My father is a carpenter and wood worker. My mother instructed dance and choreographed dances with young children.

Throughout middle and high school I began drawing and painting. I discovered a comfort in creating and composing work in a 2 dimensional field.

I attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale for computer animation and the Pratt Institute for fine art. But it was a glass studio that really caught my interest and attention.

After being introduced to lampworking in Redondo Beach, CA in 2005 I was sure I had found my craft.
I have spent the last 14 years developing and creating as SRBGlassCraft. Along with getting married and having two children I have been published in Glass Line Magazine, and recognized in the New Yorker for my line of glass drawer pulls.

I now live in South Orange, NJ with my wife and children. I have a wonderful home studio. Currently I create and develop work for artist Marsha Pels and Fashion jeweler Christopher Crouch @ Moans Couture
