Matteo Seguso was born in Venice, Italy in 1973. He began apprenticing with his father at Seguso & Linzi at the age of 26, and in 2003 he achieved the status of Engraver Maestro. In 2006, he opened the Matteo Seguso Glass Engraver Workshop. Seguso has taught at Pilchuck Glass School and the Corning Museum of Glass, and exhibited internationally. He has also worked with Lino Tagliapietra for the last 9 years on extensive surface work.
