Emily is a dynamic instructor at UrbanGlass, blending a robust artistic background with a fascinating new dimension of understanding. She earned her BFA in Sculpture from Alfred University in 2014 and an Associate's degree in Glass Art from Salem Community College in 2009, establishing a strong foundation in both form and material.
Since arriving in Brooklyn in 2014, Emily has become a leading expert in neon and plasma lighting. As a freelancer and UrbanGlass's lead neon technician, she brings real-world expertise to the classroom, even designing, assembling, and maintaining UG's current manifold system for bombarding neon tubes.
Now, Emily is also entering her third year in a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. This pursuit of knowledge in human anatomy and body systems uniquely enriches her teaching, allowing her to convey the intricacies of glass bending and design with an even deeper appreciation for structure and movement.
Emily's diverse skills make her an exceptional guide for students exploring the radiant world of glass and light.
