Caroline (Coco) Picard

Caroline (Coco) Picard is a writer and curator based in New Mexico. As the Executive Director of the Green Lantern Press, she has published over 40 books on art, theory, and literature. Curating exhibitions since 2005, Picard has worked with artists like Takahiro Iwasaki, Ellen Rothenberg, Edra Soto, Xaviera Simmons, and others, presenting exhibitions at La Box ENSA Bourges, Gallery 400, The Hyde Park Art Center, Vox Popuili and more. She is the author of two graphic novels, Meowsers (2022) and The Chronicles of Fortune (2017), and her novel The Healing Circle (Red Hen Press, 2022) won Red Hen Press's 2020 Women's Prose Prize. Art criticism and comics have appeared additionally in Art Forum, Hyperallergic, the Paris Review, and Seven Stories Press, among others. Picard received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute and was a 2020 Bookends Fellow at Stony Brook University.
