If you’ve completed an initial course of glass study (if you hold a BFA or have attended multiple workshops) and are looking for unpaid work alongside top names in glass, consider the Chrysler Museum of Art’s glass studio. Studio assistants help with public glass demonstrations, classes, and general operations of the studio for up to 10 hours per week for four months. The current openings are for assistants working from June 1 through September 30th. While the assistantship is unpaid, studio time is included as well as opportunities to demo and assist artists visiting the studio.

The deadline to apply is 10 a.m., May 10th, 2012. Send studio manager Chrlotte Potter a your letter of interest, current resume, and up to 5 images of your work to Studio via email: cpotter@chrysler.org.

More information on the studio assistant program at the Chrysler is available online at: www.chrysler.org/about-the-museum/glass-studio/studio-assistantships
