Part-Time Front Desk Assistant

UrbanGlass is hiring! We are looking for multiple part-time Front Desk Assistants to join our team in Brooklyn. This on-site role is ideal for individuals who love art and enjoy engaging with the community. As the first point of contact, you'll provide information on studio rentals, educational opportunities, and assist with bookings and administrative tasks. If you're organized, friendly, and eager to support a dynamic art center, we want to hear from you. Please note, this position offers flexible shifts to ensure we have full coverage at the front desk.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Offering friendly reception and information to all via email, phone and in person
  • Assist with Checkfront bookings, rental inquiries, payments and make updates to Checkfront schedules, items and categories to keep current
  • Assist departments with documents to prep, print and mail/distribute
  • Distribute artwork to students who come to pick up their items from previous classes.
  • Point of contact for the office copier
  • Assist the Education Department with organizing and distributing student work. 


  • 2+ years’ experience in office administration, non-profit, cultural, or arts organization.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills. 
  • Competent in executing delegated tasks, communicating progress, and working proactively.
  • knowledge of glass processes a plus
