Building with Bits

In this introductory hot glass class we will be building foundational skills through working with bits. Glass “bit work” refers to working with glass in an additive fashion; building a piece by adding several globs of glass together. Over the course of six weeks, class will explore working with glass in this collaborative and sculptural way to learn all the basics of hot glass. Open to all skill levels.

Mia Sartori is a Brooklyn based artist specializing in hot glass. After receiving her BFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio Mia has continued to explore glass as a material in relationship to common place objects, always looking to utilize and experiment with glass in different ways.
