“The purpose of Making Sense is to bring artists together who work with components in glass. They sew, glue, weld, bezel and weave pieces of glass together to compose a larger whole. Some of the sculpture talks about order, wit, delicacy, labor, beauty, and connections between objects. All of the work is very time-intensive and ritualistic in its nature. What draws all of these works together is the way that the artists try to make sense of things by putting things in their own order.”
