Join us for an immersive and creative weekend exploring the art of glassblowing and floral arranging! Throughout the weekend, students will delve into the fundamentals of glassblowing, mastering techniques to create basic vessels. From shaping molten glass to blowing and forming, participants will gain hands-on experience in crafting their own unique pieces. On the final day, participants will bring their glass creations to life by arranging vibrant blooms, learning artistic and sustainable techniques to enhance the beauty and balance of their floral compositions.This workshop is ideal for beginners and enthusiasts alike, providing a supportive environment for creative exploration and skill development. Whether you're passionate about glass artistry, floral design, or simply eager to try something new, join us for a weekend of inspiration and discovery.

What to Expect: Students will leave this workshop with several glass pieces, a floral arrangement, and a greater understanding of glassmaking and floral design. This course will focus on foundational techniques and each student can expect to bring home a variety of simple forms. Class time will be split between demonstrations and practice in teams. The hot shop is a loud studio, and can get quite warm. Glassblowing takes repetition and practice - expect failures along with successes. Eligibility: This class is open to beginners, but some experience would be helpful. Open to ages 14 and up.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
