A commissioned custom installation of a Sydney Cash light sculpture to be made for a location in your home.

"These sculptures are part of a body of work where light is manipulated as if it’s corporeal. The mirrored panel(s) and the light that shines on it, work in concert to transform a focused beam of light(s) from its pure radiant state into imagery on a blank wall.

"In the first part, my “making” ingenuity and ordinary aesthetic judgments are involved, fabricating images in copper/silver mirror into glass panels. Next comes the installation of the wall panel supports and ceiling lights. The artistic manipulation of these elements results in a shifting combination of reflections and shadow....

"The final work seems to rest in a place between image and object. And it ephemerally disappears when the light switch is turned off. Light is alive. It makes the world in which we live. It will always be the primary media."
