Sam McMillen began working with glass as an apprentice to Christopher Morrison in Bellingham, WA at the age of 16. He later took classes with Boyd Sugiki and Chuck Lopez at Pratt Fine Arts Center. Sam’s interest in glass as a sculptural medium brought him to the Pilchuck Glass School, where he has worked as a staff member since 2002. Sam’s work has been exhibited at Western Washington University, the Priceless Works Gallery, History of the World Gallery, and most recently at the Bumbershoot arts festival “Bumberbiennale” curated by Matthew Kangas.
