Group Visits

TOURS

All tours include an overview of The Store at UrbanGlass, the Robert Lehman Gallery, and a walkthrough of all our working glass studios. Demonstration tour packages include live narrated torchworking glassblowing demonstrations.

  • Tours are both educational and entertaining.
  • Basic Tours last approximately 30 minutes, Demonstration Tours last approximately 1 hour.
  • All Tours must begin promptly at the scheduled start time.
  • In the interest of safety and space, each private tour is limited to 25 people.
  • To accomodate larger groups, tours may be scheduled back-to-back or simultaneously, depending on the size and needs of the group and staff and studio availability.
  • Children must be supervised by adults. For childrens' tours, a ratio of 1 adult for each 5 children is mandatory.
  • Tours are handicap accessible but generally require 30 minutes of standing and walking. Seating is only available on Demonstration Tours.
  • Basic Tours have a minimum charge of $30, covering up to 5 guests - additional guests may be added for $6 per person (to a maximum of 25 guests).
  • Demonstration Tours including a private narrated glassblowing demonstration have a minimum charge of $270, covering up to 15 guests - additional guests may be added for $18 per person (to a maximum of 25 guests).

Small groups may visit the Robert Lehman Gallery and The Store at UrbanGlass at anytime during business hours. There is a windowed viewing area in the Store from which small groups are welcome to watch the activity in the Hot Shop.

UrbanGlass offers free public tours of the studio several times each year during Open Houses. Please see Open Houses for the schedule and details.
